Have you ever told your experiences to your friends in a written form???? Your experiences could be sad, excited, bad, worst, etc.

Exactly! All you have told or write about your experiences to your friends called Recount Text.

Recount Text is a text which tells about someone experiences. Recount text tells the readers what happened in the past through a sequence of events. It also using Simple Past Tense and always starts by past adverbial of time, such as : Two weeks ago, last week, last holiday, one day, yesterday, etc.

 Recount Text is including 3 parts, which are :

 1. Orientation

  Who were involved in the story, when, and where.

 2.Events

  Tell what happened in sequence.

 3. Re-Orientation

  To summarize the event.

Language Features    :

  1.   The use of nouns and pronouns.

(e.g. Jack, we, his)

  2.The use of action verbs.

(e.g. went, spent, played)

  3. The use of past tense.

(e.g. We went to Pangandaran Beach)

  4.The use of time conjunctions.

(e.g. and, but, after, finally)

  5. The use of adverbs and adverbs of phrases.

(e.g. in my house, two days ago, slowly, cheerfully)

  6.The use of adjectives.

(e.g. beautiful, sunny)
